The last package of Oreos that I opened, the chocolate cookies were much thinner and more brittle.Use a fork to dunk the Oreo in milk, it used to take 15 to 20 seconds for just the right amount of softening.
Now it takes around 7 seconds to be soaked and falling apart, something has been changed drastically. The cream itself, instead of being filled all the way out to the outer perimeter of the cookie, like demonstrated on the package image of the Oreo, was actually a quarter of an inch less all the way around and thinner. When gasoline prices were high, the increase in package pricing went up and content weight down and they blamed high fuel costs. Now that fuel prices are almost at record lows from 15 years ago, we are still getting shafted by higher prices from this greedy corporation.
BTW, word to the wise, next time you see the package stating a new design, look at the weight, it's just a way of them disguising a lesser weighing package for which you're paying the same price for. This holds true for other products as well.
