I prefer Walkers pure butter shortbread.At one time I liked Lorna Doones.

But that was years ago. There are too many nasty tasting ingredients and artificial flavors in this cookie. I understand that you want to make the cookie last a few months but if it were good people wouldn't let them last. FYI...butter is better than any form of margerine, taste and health wise.

Unbleached flour would taste better than white if you can't go for the wheat. Leave soybean oil out of it. Use a healthier oil with butter. You really don't need to put all that stuff in your cookie.

I make an old fashion carrot cake and it can last 3 weeks after opening. It can last 4 months without opening. And I just have sugar, baking soda, and other spices as my preservatives. I use quality ingredients.

Think about taste and health.You might be able to get folks to start buying your product again.

I'm so glad to read this bad news because I thought I was going crazy or had lost my taste buds.These cookies were unlike others I had ever tasted.

You can't blame the packaging because I remember when I was a young boy they were packed in four..if I'm not mistaken. They also had the best brownies I've ever tasted. Why has the whole world changed to the point that quality has been thrown out the door?

Everything from cookies to music.I just feel bad for the new generation that will miss out on the good things we had in life...Lorna Doone cookies having been one of them.

Good review of Lorna Doone by Julius.They are now made with unbleached flour, but are still nothing like the tasty cookie they once were.

They contain too many additives and high fructose.

They once had a great buttery flavor and melt-in-mouth texture.Now they are hard and relatively tasteless, and retail at a premium price.
