Decline in taste and quality of Chips Ahoy cookies!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have a somewhat different complaint about Nabisco Chips Ahoy cookies, in that they changed several years ago to be lighter, less dense and less crisp, crumbly, and less tasty. So once in the distant past during the Olympics, I bought some special Olympic Chips Ahoy cookies (no, not the ones with red, white, and blue candy in them) and I was pleasantly surprised by how much better they were like in the old days.

I called Nabisco to see what was going on and they denied any changes in the recipe or ingredients. Whaaat? Obviously something was wrong. I wonder if, in getting rid of trans fat, they destroyed the taste and consistency of this (used to be) world class cookie.

Anyway, Nabisco sent me some coupons for some Chips Ahoy cookies, and I threw them in the trash. I will never buy Chips Ahoy cookies again!

Product inquiry

I was inquiring about the Nabisco saltines with unsalted top. Where is it? I cant find it in the stores. I at least found it was still in production but, like most companies, COVID is the reason that distribution is behind. You need to send unsalted with regular crackers. Maybe a percentage based on past distribution.

Cinnamon Graham crackers

What has happened to your products? These cinnamon grahams appear to have missed the sugar and cinnamon coating process. They are tasteless squares of nothing. I will never buy these again. The fig newtons are failing miserably too. Are you going out of business? You will be if your products continue to disappoint. Read your reviews they are terrible.

Oreo cookies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Please go back to the softer cookie recipe of the seventies and do the same with the filling, even if it isn't as healthy as the present filling. The cookie was so much better back then( softer less sweet, meltier in milk) and would be a marketing home run. I have had homemade cookies that were very close to the original Nabisco recipe and everyone I know( children included) like them an amazing amount more than the present day Oreo.

Poor experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Having been a loyal customer for years because of the quality of your Ritz crackers. I have been highly disappointed lately in what I am experiencing with your Ritz. It seems the cracker is falling apart or its thick as a loaf of bread. I would like to continue to support your company but this is just not acceptable. I bought 3 boxes recently and had to feed them all to the birds. Ritz have been a staple in my life for years and would like to continue to enjoy them. Please fix what is broken so I dont have to search for a substitute. Thank you in advance

Strange state of cookies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
About two months ago I purchased a couple of packages of my favorite cookie: Chips Ahoy THiNS. They were very overcooked. Almost burnt. The lot date was 14 June 2022. Now this is where it gets strange. I have gone back to the store numerous times to get a different lot dated package. It is clear the cookies are selling but the lot date hasn't changed EVER? Cookies are still overcooked (maybe not as bad but still overcooked).

Oreos have become a hard, chemically sweet( not natural tasting) ,with a bizarre aftertaste. And they almost will not soften in milk anymore. So hard the cookie will cut your gums if not careful. A

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Oreos are very different from the cookie of my youth. They are harder, sweeter and have the strangest aftertaste.

I know these are correct facts because I remember how soft the edges and imprint on the cookies were. So when we are told that Nabisco hasn't changed the formula we are being lied to. Some of the changes over the past ten years were promoted by Nabisco as " healthier ". No more lard in the filling,no more real sugar, no more taste!

It's a cookie for heavens sake, not a health food. The truth is so much simpler, cheaper ingredients and lower manufacturing cost mean higher profits and to *** with the consumer ,they will take what we give them and be happy.

And then to lie about their products let's you all know just how little the consumer means to Nabisco any more. So very sad, such a good cookie in my childhood.
